Company History

Founded in 1987, TRC Global Mobility has nearly 30 years of experience in delivering U.S. and international relocation, assignment management and expense management services. An independent, employee-owned talent mobility firm with a singular focus on employee relocation, TRC does not own, and is not owned by any real estate, mortgage, moving or other like company; affording us the flexibility to strategically partner with only the best suppliers in the industry. TRC provides service to our clients throughout the U.S. and in more than 150 countries worldwide. Our dynamic client base represents a wide variety of industries and ranges from smaller, start-up firms to Global 1000 companies.

The Early Years
TRC began as a local real estate office that provided destination services for some of the largest relocation management companies. The company pioneered a unique, in-depth destination service experience that helped transferees feel at home and settle in rapidly. Dissatisfied with the level of service the transferees were receiving from the existing relocation companies, Paul Haislmaier, TRC’s founder, and still the company’s Chairman, launched The Relocation Center in 1987.

Continued Growth
The Relocation Center grew and prospered during the 1980s and 1990s. As TRC’s clients’ needs evolved, the company enhanced its service offerings to include global relocation services. The company continued to expand into additional markets, gaining a global reputation for quality and service. In addition to our World Headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, TRC has Operations Centers in Denver Colorado and Fairfield County, Connecticut; an EMEA office in London, U.K. and an APAC office in Beijing, China. Recognizing this new, global footprint, the company was renamed TRC Global Solutions in 2007.

Associations and Awards
TRC was a founding member of the Wisconsin Employee Relocation Council (WERC) and the national Relocation Directors Council (RDC). The company continues to be actively involved with Worldwide ERC (Employee Relocation Council), the Canadian Employee Relocation Council (CERC), the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the European Relocation Association (EuRA), the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) and numerous regional relocation and HR organizations.

TRC has been named to the INC 5000 list of fastest growing companies and was recognized by HRO Today magazine as a top-ten provider of employee relocation and assignment management services in their relocation “Baker’s Dozen”. TRC also received the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce’s Future 50 Award for growth in revenue and employment for three years in a row.
